為什麼要特別介紹 Jerry Leiber 和 Mike Stoller這一對作曲搭檔呢？在Beatles還沒出現的 60 年代前期和 50 年代晚期這一段時間裡面，自己寫歌自己唱的歌手像 Roy Orbison 與 the Everly Brothers 這樣的很少，相對於歌手，站長可能還比較佩服寫歌的人，Jerry Leiber 和 Mike Stoller 就是那個時代很重要的一對寫歌搭檔，不過，想介紹他們當然也是因為我喜歡的好幾首 60 年代的歌都是出自他們的筆下，像 the Drifters 唱的 There Goes My Baby，Ben E. King 唱的 Stand by Me，以及 the Coasters 唱的 Poison Ivy……等等，都是我很喜歡的歌，60 年代除了 Lennon/McCartney 這一對最偉大的寫歌搭檔之外，Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller，Gerry Goffin & Carole King，與 Barry Mann & Cythia Weil 都是非常有才華的，假如我手上有 Gerry Goffin & Carole King，與 Barry Mann & Cythia Weil 這兩對的資料的話，也會給介紹介紹的～
